Veteran goaltender Sean Burke has decided to retire, the NHL Players' Association announced Tuesday. Burke, 40, played for eight different franchises over parts of 19 seasons. "I have been very fortunate to enjoy a long and eventful professional hockey career," Burke said. "In retirement, I will certainly miss the camaraderie with my teammates and the interaction with the fans most of all." Burke's most recent stint in the NHL came last season with the Kings. The Windsor, Ontario native appeared in 23 games, going 6-10-5 with a 3.12 goals-against average and a .901 save percentage with one shutout.
