Boston's Boychuk Won't Need Surgery

ESPN - Bruins defenseman Johnny Boychuk will not require surgery for the fractured orbital bone he suffered Saturday against the Canucks.

However, Boychuck will be out of action seven to 10 days, according to coach Claude Julien.

"He's very lucky. A quarter-inch the other way and it could have been a lot, lot worse," Julien told reporters Sunday.

Boychuk was hit in the left side of the head with a slap shot by Canucks forward Mikael Samuelsson. [READ]
