Flames Get Bouwmeester From Panthers

ESPN - The Flames have acquired highly coveted defenseman Jay Bouwmeester from the Panthers.

In exchange, Calgary sent defenseman Jordan Leopold and a third-round pick (No. 67) in this year's draft.

Both Bouwmeester and Leopold are slated to become unrestricted free agents on July 1, giving the teams four days of exclusive negotiating rights. [READ]
