Report: Avs Offer Roy Coaching Job

ESPN - The Avalanche have reportedly offered Hall of Fame goaltender Patrick Roy their head coaching job.

Roy retired with Colorado in 2003, and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2006.

He would take over for Tony Granato, who has two years remaining on his contract and hadn't been told he was fired, according to the Denver Post. [READ]
