Bruins Beat Hurricanes, Force Game Seven

ESPN - The top-seeded Bruins defeated the Hurricanes 4-2 on Tuesday night to force a deciding Game 7 in their semifinal series.

Mark Recchi and Steve Montador scored in the first period to give Boston a lead that they would never relinquish.

Matt Cullen cut Carolina's deficit in half with a goal at the 2:49 mark in the second period, but Marc Savard and Chuck Kobasew answered with goals for the Bruins before the period was over.

Tim Thomas stopped 31 shots for Boston in the win. [READ]
