Isles' Guerin Scores 400th Career Goal In Win Over Leafs

yahoo.com - Bill Guerin scored twice to record his 400th career goal as the Islanders snapped a 10-game losing streak with a 4-1 win over the Maple Leafs on Friday, as reported by Yashoo.com.

After netting his 399th career tally 6:27 into the second period, the captain scored his milestone goal 2:34 into the third after collecting a loose puck and depositing it past Vesa Toskala.

“Those goals came at a good time,” Guerin said. “Everybody kept a good attitude and a good work ethic (during the streak).”

Guerin becomes the eighth American-born player and 79th overall to reach the plateau. [READ]
