Sharks Set NHL's Best 30-Game Start
16th December, 2008 - 11:14 am
ESPN - The Sharks passed the 1929-30 Bruins to set an NHL record for the most points, 52, through the first 30 games of the season.

"We like to think that with the good start we had, a lot teams have us circled on the schedule," Ryan Clowe said. "They want to play their best and they are motivated to play us. The Kings played hard. They're not giving up a lot of shots for a reason. They play a good game in their own end."

San Jose also tied that same Boston team for the most wins through the first 30 games with its 25th.

The Kings extended the NHL's best team to a shootout before losing to them for the third time in three tries this season. [READ]
