Rangers Assign Wiikman To AHL Hartford

Press Release - New York Rangers' President and General Manager Glen Sather announced today that goaltender Miika Wiikman has been assigned to the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Wiikman, 23, did not dress for the Rangers in two games against the Tampa Bay Lightning in Prague, Czech Republic. Last season, Wiikman registered a 21-8-3 record, along with a 2.30 goals against average in 34 AHL games. The 6-0, 180 pound goaltender also appeared in four contests with Charlotte (ECHL), posting a 1-1-2 record with a 2.36 goals against average. [READ]
