RealGM Staff Report - Cliff Fletcher, general manager of the Toronto Maple Leafs, announced Tuesday that the hockey club has agreed to terms with unrestricted free agent goaltender Curtis Joseph on a one year contract.

“Curtis will provide outstanding support to Vesa Toskala this season,” said Fletcher. “He had tremendous success playing in Toronto in years past, and we expect him to be a stabilizing influence for our team, both on and off the ice. We are really excited to have him back in our team’s colours.”

Joseph, 41, appeared in nine games for the Calgary Flames last season and posted a record of 3-2-0 with a goals-against average (GAA) of 2.55. He played in two playoff games in April versus the San Jose Sharks and registered one win and a 0.76 GAA. [READ]
