Report: Stars Reward Tippett With Extension

Dallas Morning News - Coach Dave Tippett apparently has been rewarded for leading the Stars to the Western Conference finals.

The Dallas Morning News reported Saturday that Tippett has agreed to a three-year extension that the team will announce next week. The new deal would keep Tippett under contract with the club through the 2010-11 season.

“We have an agreement in principle,” Stars co-GM Les Jackson told the Morning News. “We’re 99 percent there. I don’t think we play again until next September, so we have a little bit of time.” [READ]
