Rangers' Jagr Considers Joining Russian Team

yahoo.com - Rangers captain Jaromir Jagr reportedly is considering joining a Russian professional team next season, according to a Yahoo Sports report.

Jagr told the Bergen Record on Friday that he would meet with representatives from Avangard Omsk of the Russian Elite League about possibly playing for them next season after his contract expires.

According to the team web site, Avangard GM Anatoly Bardina plans to fly from Russia to New York on Sunday. [READ]
