Lightning Announce Trades With Predators, Ducks

RealGM Staff Report - The Tampa Bay Lightning have acquired a seventh-round pick in 2008 from the Nashville Predators in exchange for left wing Jan Hlavac and acquired right wing Brandon Segal and a seventh-round pick in 2008 from the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for defenseman Jay Leach, Executive Vice President and General Manager Jay Feaster announced.

Segal has been assigned to Norfolk of the American Hockey League.

A 6-foot-2, 210-pound native of North Delta, British Columbia, Segal has five goals and 14 points in 54 games with the Portland Pirates of the AHL this season. A veteran of 313 career AHL games, Segal has 61 goals and 112 points. He has played in 41 career Calder Cup Playoff games with five goals and eight points. He helped the Milwaukee Admirals to the 2006 Calder Cup Finals where they fell in six games. [READ]
